Computer Support Specialist

            Computer support specialists provide help and advice to people and organizations using computer software or equipment. Some, called computer network support specialists, support information technology (IT) employees within their organization. Others, called computer user support specialists, assist non-IT users who are having computer problems.

            Because of the wide range of skills used in different computer support jobs, there are many paths into the occupation. A bachelor’s degree is required for some computer support specialist positions, but an associate’s degree or postsecondary classes may be enough for others.

Mechanical Engineer

         A mechanical engineer's job skills are very broad.  They analyze problems to see how mechanical and thermal devices might help solve a particular problem.  They design devises to solve problems and then develop and test the prototypes that solve those problems.

         Mechanical engineers typically need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology. All states and the District of Columbia require mechanical engineers who sell services to the public to be licensed

Aerospace Engineer

       Aerospace engineers design primarily aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles. In addition, they test prototypes to make sure that they function according to design.

        Aerospace engineers must have a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or another field of engineering or science related to aerospace systems. Aerospace engineers that work on projects that are related to national defense may need a security clearance.

Biologist

      A biologist is a profession that covers a wide variety of jobs. It is a specialized type of scientist.  Biologist study living things and their relationship to their environment.  A biologist might study single celled organisms, plants or animals.

       To get a job as a biologist, one must have a bachelor's degree in biology.  To move forward in your career, an advanced degree is necessary.

Civil Engineer

         Civil engineers design, build, supervise, operate, and maintain construction projects and systems in the public and private sector, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment.

         Civil engineers need a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, in one of its specialties, or in civil engineering technology. Civil engineers usually must be licensed in the areas where they are working
